Booty Bay or Bust!
A couple of weeks ago, when Egwene and Damer had just started questing, I decided that I wanted some money to get us started. So I made this guy (on my wife’s account):
I ran him from Elwynn Forest all the way to Booty Bay so I could put up a [Boar Rib] for sale in the neutral AH. Then I logged in as Adrenis and bought it, thus giving our Alliance characters some money.
I made it from Elwynn to Duskwood pretty quickly and with no deaths, which surprised me. I figured I’d aggro a Field Harvester or at least one of those dang Buzzards in Westfall, but I ran through with no problems at all. Died twice in Duskwood but no big problems.
Then I got into Stranglethorn Vale, or as it was called that day, The Zone of Death and Terror. Remember the Shadowmaw Panthers that you hunt for Hemet Nesingwary? Remember how they’re stealthed? Well at level one, you can’t see through that stealth at all. Several times, I would be running down the road, then I would suddenly enter combat and a few seconds later I would fall over dead. That was it. Never even saw the panther. At least with the gorillas, you can see what’s killing you.
If you’ve ever quested in STV, you know that there are two graveyards there: one at the very north and one at the very south. So long as you’re anywhere in the north part of the zone, you’ll go to the north graveyard when you die. That made for quite a few increasingly lengthy corpse runs, which started to get a little bit frustrating.
It did make it easier at the end though, because I only had to take one step into the southern part of the zone and then I rezzed at the graveyard right at the entrance to Booty Bay (via the Spirit Healer).
Success at last!
Elwynn Forest to Booty Bay at Level One
Total Deaths: 17
Total Time Elapsed: 48 minutes, 24 seconds.
One interesting thing I noticed is in this last screenshot. I tried to answer some guy’s question in General Chat and look at the response I got.

You do not have permission to speak. Interesting, huh? All I can think of is that this is one of the anti-gold-seller measures that Blizzard has put in place to keep level ones from running to different zones and spamming their ads. Nifty.
