Patch Tuesday and Some Pally Love
On Tuesday Mornings, I try to fill some of the maintenance downtime void in your life by spotlighting some aspect of the WoW community that more or less deserves to spotlighted. Spotlit? Anyhoo, I say more or less because the only criterion for the things I show is that it make me laugh. If you know of something out there that deserves a mention, be sure to let me know.
Since it’s Tuesday, and more importantly a Patch Tuesday, I’m sure that some of you are somewhat bored. So I will attempt to fill some of the void with a little entertainment.
Before you watch this movie, let me provide a little background on what you’ll see. Firstly, Lord Kazzak, the big demon in the movie, was an outdoor raid boss that lived in the Blasted Lands, prior to BC. If you are unfamiliar with raid bosses, just know that they are seriously tough to kill, and Kazzak himself usually required 40 players to take down.
Secondly, the Paladin skills you will see used are Reckoning and Seal of Righteousness. Reckoning has been changed a few times since this movie was made (due in part to this movie being made ;). The way that it used to work was every time a player or mob scored a crit against a Pally, the Pally would gain one Reckoning “charge.” Each charge gave the Paladin an extra attack that could be stored indefinitely, until he decided to use them. Furthermore, there was no cap on the number of charges the Pally could store, so he could theoretically attack one hundred times (or more) in one swing.
Seal of Righteousness grants the Pally an additional amount of Holy damage on each attack. So if the Pally has 100 Reckoning charges and SoR active, he will attack 201 times in one swing (1 normal attack, 100 Reck charges and 100 SoR hits). Are you seeing where this is going?
