Druid Bar

Druid Bar is a great addon I found recently at Curse.com. It’s quite simple, but is oh so useful (for Druids anyway). What’s it do? Well, I’m glad you asked. Druid Bar adds an additional mana bar to your portrait. Like this:

druidbar

As you can see, the bar stays there when you shift into your different forms. This allows you to see how much mana you have, even when you have a rage or energy bar. Those of you who have played a Druid probably realize how handy this can be. When I play my Druid, I’m often shifting forms as the situation requires. Before I got Druid Bar, I would sometimes shift out of Bear or Cat form into human form to heal, only to find that I was out of mana. Now I can see whether or not I have enough mana currently to shift out, heal and then shift back.

This is one of those ideas that is so simple you wonder why Blizzard hasn’t just implemented something like it into the game itself. Until that day comes, we have Druid Bar.

Druid Bar can be found here. As of this writing, it has been updated for the current patch (2.2) and has been bug free for me.
