Holiday Twofer
On Tuesday Mornings, I try to fill some of the maintenance downtime void in your life by spotlighting some great aspect of the Warcraft community. Sometimes it’s comedy, sometimes it’s skilled gameplay, sometimes it’s just plain silly. If you know of something out there that deserves a mention, be sure to let me know.
Today we’ve got a couple of holiday WoW videos for you. First up is a video by Oxhorn - he’s the guy that did the ROFLMAO video that I posted a couple of weeks ago. You can check out his site at Oxhorn Brand Movies. Lots of great stuff there!
This video tells the story of Arthas, who was once the prince of Lordaeron. Tasked with defending his countrymen from the undead plague, he began to take increasingly drastic measures to stop the Scourge. Finally, he went into Northrend to find the powerful sword Frostmourne, meaning to use it as a weapon against Kel’Thuzad and his undead. The sword, however, was cursed, and it took the last vestiges of sanity from Arthas, drove him mad, and turned him to a servant of the Scourge.
Soon after finding Frostmourne, Arthas returned to Lordaeron, and in front of a crowd who had gathered to rejoice at his return, killed his father and then fled. He later freed Ner’zhul from his prison, was fused together with Ner’zhul’s spirit in some strange fashion, and thus became the creature we now know as the Lich King.
