Christmas, Van Damme, And Other Stuff
Hey everybody!
I’m back from a wonderful Christmas and ready to put up a couple of posts before I leave again (briefly) for New Year’s. Since yesterday was Christmas and I didn’t put up a Tuesday Morning video, I’m going to do a roundup of the latest WoW commercials to come out. Before I do that though, be sure to head to Orgrimmar or Ironforge and pick up your presents from Greatfather Winter. According to the official WoW site, you have until January 2nd to get them, at which point Winter’s Veil comes to a close.
The first WoW commercial was released not too long ago in the US, and features Verne Troyer of Mini-Me fame. This one is probably my favorite so far, except for Mr. T.
The next one is Jean Claude Van Damme playing a Troll Mage. I took one semester of French in school so I can tell you that his first line is “My name is Jean Claude Van Damme, and I’m a mage.” After that you’re on your own.
This last one features Willy Toledo as a paladin. I wasn’t sure who Willy Toledo was, so I looked him up on Wikipedia. Here’s what Wikipedia had to say about him:
Guillermo Toledo or Willy Toledo (born Madrid, 22 May 1970) is a Spanish film and television actor.
In 2007 he played in a Spanish commercial for the popular MMORPG World of Warcraft, in a series of commercials that also featured Mr. T, William Shatner, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Verne Troyer.

Yeah, I’m really digging the ads too. I think the idea behind them was golden. I’m just waiting for Christopher Walken as the undead warlock =)
