Where Can I Go To Level? 30s Dungeons
One of the most common questions asked in WoW is some variation of “I’m level xx… where else can I go to quest?” Having leveled numerous characters through Azeroth, I know it’s definitely frustrating to be stuck at level 28 or 29, so close to being able to go to the next tier of zones, and not knowing where you can go to keep questing.
To help you in your travels, I’m going to provide you with a comprehensive guide to each and every zone in Azeroth, so you can always know where else you can safely go.
Dungeons for your 30s
There aren’t as many options for dungeons in your 30s as there are for other levels. If you’re looking for something in your low 30s, you can still run Gnomeregan and Razorfen Kraul (both of which I covered in Part Three). They might be a wee bit below you, but you’ll still get some decent XP and loot.

Scarlet Monastery - SM has four separate wings: the Graveyard, the Library, the Armory, and the Cathedral. Each wing is its own instance and can usually be completed in about 30 minutes to an hour.
Scarlet Monastery is one of my all time favorite dungeons, for many reasons. The design is great, the instances are challenging without being frustrating, and I like how you fight different levels of the Scarlet Crusade at different points in the game.
Mob Levels
Graveyard - 30 to 32
Library - 33 to 35
Armory - 35 to 37
Cathedral - 38 to 40
Location - Northeast Tirisfal Glades, just north from the Undercity. The closest FP for Alliance is Southshore in Hillsbrad.
Quests - Complete list
Notes - Make sure to grab the Scarlet Key from Arcanist Doan’s room in the Library. You need it to open the door to the Armory and Cathedral. Also, there aren’t many quests for SM, but be sure to grab the main SM quest for your faction:
Horde: Into the Scarlet Monastery from Varimathras. Reward is your choice of Sword of Omen, Prophetic Cane or Dragon’s Blood Necklace.
Alliance: In the Name of the Light is the quest that you need, but you must do Down the Scarlet Path from Brother Anton in Desolace first. Reward from In the Name of the Light is your choice of Sword of Serenity, Bonebiter, Black Menace, or Orb of Lorica.

Razorfen Downs - RFD is probably run by more Horde than Alliance, as it’s in the Barrens, right in the middle of Horde territory, but it’s a great dungeon for either side to run.
Location - Southeastern Barrens, just across from RFK.
Mob Levels - 35 to 38
Quests - Complete list
Notes - Although the mobs in RFD are below level 40, this is the first dungeon that has Plate drops, so it’s not uncommon to see 40+ warriors and paladins grouping for it.
