December Links
As December comes to a close, I thought that I would highlight some of the great articles and posts that I found this month on other bloggers’ sites. I think I’ll turn this into a monthly feature, since I read a number of other gaming blogs and am constantly finding great stuff on them. Not all of these links will be WoW-related, but you’re sure to find some good stuff to read.
*** Mania at Mania’s Arcania has started a great series for Hunters on choosing your first pet. She’s taking a look at each starting zone and the beasts therein that can be tamed. It’s geared towards newbie Hunters, but I think even veteran players will enjoy reading it.

Part Two - Durotar
Part Three - Teldrassil
Part Four - Mulgore
*** Cameron, at Random Battle, has a great article on the future of RMT (Real Money Transactions, or basically the farming/gold selling business), and raises an interesting question: Since the gold that you farm has a real world value*, will the future of MMO gaming include filling out a tax return for that epic sword you just got?
*100G on my server is worth about $4 US, according to IGE. Therefore, the epic mount I’m going to buy someday will cost the equivalent of $200 US. Kinda puts a whole new spin on it, huh?
*** Keira Peney at Write The Game has started a great series on the History of Video Games. She’s gotten us up to the Nintendo 64, with more to come!
*** BBB at Big Bear Butt Blogger has an excellent guide on Feral Druid Talent Specs that I have referred to several times as I’ve leveled Matoskah. Very helpful stuff from an excellent Feral Druid.
*** Bizzam at Tank Hard! has a great series on tanking the four Animal bosses in Zul’Aman. I’m not a tank and I’m not even raiding Zul’Aman, but I enjoyed the insider view of the encounters.
*** Lastly (but certainly not leastly), Lassirra at The Hunter’s Mark has a great article comparing the various forms of CC available to a group. Since I’ve recently hit 70 and am running the big-boy dungeons now, I enjoyed the overview of what each class can contribute, and when it’s wise to use each one. You will definitely be a better player after reading this article.

Thanks for these links. That article on the future of RMT was very interesting.
