Hunter pets such as Lupos, that had functional differences, are one story. (I don't like that Blizzard nerfed them, but I can at least see why they did it.) The Ghost Wolf, on the other hand, had no functional difference. It was simply a different skin than the other wolves in the game. That's why Blizzard's decision to remove it seemed so arbitrary and pointless. One other thing I want to say: Hunters got some serious love in the last patch. If you haven't played for 6 months, you might check things out. Hunters are much more powerful then they were a few months ago. When I quit playing WoW about 6 months ago, I left behind a 70 hunter. Blizzard had, and still has, no intention of making any hunter pets unique, or fun. Simple truth.
