I found we did really well doing a circuit round the Terokkar Forest river, killing basilisk, warps and stopping at the Arakkoa outposts at each end of the loop to clean up my feathered friends. What this gave me: a safe zone full of lowbies, easy mobs, feathers for lower city rep or selling, cloth drops, Green items, 3 different types of leather, 2 different types of meat (both which sell really well cooked due to them being +spell damage and +agility food), a load of vendor trash, and I could do the SSO skinning daily at the same time.
