OK, So That Was Odd…
I was heading into UC last night on my Mage, right? I got close to the elevator doors, and just for fun, decided to Blink through them to see what would happen. I’ve been surprised by how often Blink doesn’t work correctly, as the game decides that “there is something in the way”, so I figured that I would just stop right at the door and not got through it.
So I hit Blink, go right through the doors into the elevator shaft, fall a few feet, hit the elevator coming up, and then I get DC’ed from the server. Log back in and I’m way the heck out in Cragpool Lake in Stonetalon Mountains! And that’s not the weirdest part. Apparently I brought some of UC out there with me.
I’m still in the UC chat, and the elevator was actually there as well, although you can’t see it in the screenie. It was just going up and down in midair. I tried to hop on to see if it would take me anywhere, but I just passed right through it.
I’m not sure if this was just a strangely timed server hiccup, or if it was actually somehow related to my Blinking through the elevator doors, but I’m definitely going to be more careful in the future. I didn’t know such an innocuous spell could have such dire consequences!
